Photos of flood evidence at Kemnay Pumping station

Ref: the 7th January 2016 Flood at Kembhill Park and surrounding area.

Evidence of water flow into and through the pumping station which is near to Kembhill Park.

The following photos were all taken on the morning of the 15th of April 2016.  This was some time after the Kemnay Flood which took place on the 7th of January 2016 – but they do show the amount of debris which remain in place showing how high the water level was along the Pumping Station fence which is adjacent to the river.  The water line is clearly deeper at the downstream end of the fence which is of metal lattice construction and would have offered minimal resistance to the water flow.  The build up of debris would have I think plugged the gaps to some extent but realistically this it would have been too late to stop water flowing through the pumping station grounds and onward to the Bremner way and the Kembhill Park housing estate.
