Increase volume during commercial breaks

Hate the way TV volume automatically increases when commercial breaks start! This should not happen! I have to turn down and then up again when next program starts. Is it just me? or do others have this frustration?

Seems to me that the volume control on my TV should be under my control – if I choose to hear commercials more than core programme content hen that should be my choice!  In my experience this is a relatively recent phenomenon but I am not certain when it started it!  I feel the need to do some further investigation to understand why this is the is happening now – although I expect it will be connected with the power of the commercial organisations who fund adverts!

More of this later!

Teachers Note:
The following videos use some terms which are more commonly used in the USA.  For example, pounds are used instead of Newtons and Fulcrum is used in place of Pivot.  These variations should be pointed out to pupils when these videos are used in the UK.
